Entrada is an exceptional long range cruiser designed and built to cross oceans and cruise secluded islands in comfort.

Bill Tripp designed Entrada and her sister ships with full expectations of meeting the proposed design and weight & measure criteria.

It was the desire of the Owners’ to cruise extensively enjoying Entradas' performance characteristics, as they believe the performance aspects inherent in this design produce the best vessels for offshore sailing.

Defiance has only been lightly cruised and has raced four Caribbean regattas and the Onion patch series including the Newport Bermuda race. She is very capable of winning under both IRC and CSA rating rules.

The Marten 49 is a good example of a modern cruiser racer. It was conceived for the owner who wishes to combine the excitement of a performance racing yacht with the ability to make fast comfortable passages whilst cruising.

Defiance is the 15th and final Marten 49, launched in October 2009 for sea trials in Sydney before shipping to the USA, then sailed from Savannah to the British Virgin Islands, where she remained.
